DECLARATION ON SUSTAINABILITY


Foreword


The concept of sustainability includes the sum of all ecological, economic and social effects that a company produces. It is the task of sustainability management to record and direct these effects, so that they produce an effect that is viable in the long term and socially accepted. In short, sustainability is the expansion of economic thinking to include ecological (environmental protection), social and ethical viewpoints.


Founded and headquartered in the United States of America, d-RiskCyber has a particular responsibility towards the United States. The company actively promotes public life and thus shows its attachment to the population of New York City. It operates without consuming excessive amounts of resources, conducting its business in an ecological and socially responsible way. Furthermore, it is also conscious of global problems such as climate change, water shortage, poverty, deforestation and threats to biodiversity, accepting these as challenges.


Sustainability is therefore an important part of our business strategy. Primarily, it comprises the following pillars:

  • Economic sustainability
  • Ecological sustainability
  • Social and ethical sustainability

This declaration on sustainability describes the principles and requirements of d-RiskCyber to its product suppliers and service providers, with regard to responsibility for people and the environment. d-RiskCyber expects its suppliers and partners to make serious efforts to pass on the requirements described below to their respective suppliers. In addition to this declaration, d-RiskCyber is following the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct in Version 7.0 (2021).


I. Economic sustainability

  1. d-RiskCyber strives to deal with its suppliers and partners in a fair way, within the framework of a partnership and partners.

II. Environmental protection

  1. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to make an ongoing effort to implement the usage and optimisation of improved procedures in operating processes and technologies used.
  2. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to observe environmental protection with regard to the national legal norms and international standards.
  3. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to minimize negative impact on the environment and to improve its environmental protection on an ongoing basis.
  4. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to have already put in place, or to be putting in place, an environmental management system and that evidence of this can be seen in the company.

III. Social and ethical responsibility

  1. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to observe basic rights and human rights.
  2. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to protect and observe the relevant, respective legal norms and international standards.
  3. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to provide for fair working conditions in line with the ILO Core Labour Standards, more closely defined under Paragraphs 4 to 9.
  4. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to observe the rights of its employees with regard to working and occupational safety, and to provide for safe and healthy working conditions.
  5. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner not to discriminate against its employees or other persons on grounds of gender, age, origins, their race or skin colour, their language, their home or social origins, their nationality, their beliefs, their religious or political convictions or their sexual orientation. Discrimination on grounds of a disability is not tolerated by d-RiskCyber.
  6. d-RiskCyber expects that the supplier or partner not to employ, have employed, or tolerate the employment of, persons who are not at least 15 years old. It also expects employees not to work in countries where an exception is allowed under ILO Convention 138.
  7. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner not to tolerate any form of corruption or bribery and not to engage in them in any way.
  8. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner not to support forced labour or corporal punishment in any way.
  9. d-RiskCyber expects the supplier or partner to allow its workers and employees the right to freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining.

d-RiskCyber considers observance of these standards as fundamental for the relevant contractual relationship. In this context, it considers the breach of the regulations under “III. Social and ethical responsibility” by suppliers or partners to be a serious reason for termination of all contractual relationships with the relevant suppliers or partners. This option to terminate exists also if the breach of the regulations under III. does not directly affect the contractual relationship between d-RiskCyber and the supplier or partner. A restriction of the other contractual rights of d-RiskCyber is explicitly not connected to this regulation.
